Amy writes a lifestyle column for two Indiana newspapers and has written various books. Her latest, Interviews by a Clueless White Woman, was released through Warren Publishing in 2022. Her new book, Happy and Solo at Church – Light your Fire and Worship with Joy, will be released by Elk Lake Publishing in the spring of 2026.
She’s been a grant professional for 24 years and is a member of the Grant Professionals Association. Along with her brilliant friends, Anne Dailey and Leigh Evans, she leads Green Avenue, a consulting agency of seven fantastic grant professionals.
Amy is a wife and the mother of two outstanding young men. She loves volunteering, walking 10ks, baking pies, dancing with a hula hoop, reading, and of course… writing.

I’ve been honored to speak to national, regional, and local audiences on a variety of writing topics. I’m a Grant Professionals Association (GPA) Approved Trainer and have presented at multiple GPA national conferences. I was excited to give the keynote address at the Indiana Grant Professionals Association Conference in May of 2024.
My favorite speaking engagements, however, are to smaller audiences. I’m on a mission to help solo people go to church because they want to, not just because they have to. Contact me if you’d like me to speak to your group!
